Makes:24 large biscuits or 36 smaller biscuits

Ingredients 

  • 125gm butter or margarine 
  • 1/2 cup sugar 
  • 1 egg 
  • 1 cup SR flour 
  • 1 cup plain flour 
  • 1 TB custard powder 
  • Pinch of salt 
  • Jam to fill 
  • Icing mix 

 Method:

  • Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  • Cream butter and sugar.
  • Add egg and mix well.
  • Sift together flours, custard powder and salt. Add to the creamed butter/sugar/egg and mix.
  • Combine ingredients
  • Turn out and knead to a firm dough.
  • Roll out fairly thin and use a cookie cutter to make rounds.
  • Combine ingredients
  • Bake in a moderate oven, fairly quickly until a pale golden colour.
  • Allow to cool.
  • Join two rounds with jam.
  • Combine ingredients
  • Ice and finish with sprinkles. (I suggest the following icing mixture – 1 cup icing sugar & 1-2 tablespoons of water mixed well).

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 egg , beaten
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup HERSHEY'S KISSES Brand Milk Chocolates (or any combination of KISSES flavors)

  • Hot Fudge (optional)
Directions:
  1.  Heat oven to 325°F.
  2.  Melt butter in 8-inch cast iron skillet with 2-inch sides over low heat. Remove from heat; stir in sugar with wooden spoon. Cool 10 minutes.
  3. Add egg and vanilla; stir to combine. Stir together flour, cornstarch, baking soda and salt. Gradually stir into egg mixture; stirring until thoroughly combined. (Skillet is very full; stir gently.) Stir in chocolate pieces.
  4. Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until edges are golden brown and center is set. Cool 5 minutes. Serve with ice cream and hot fudge, if desired. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup HERSHEY'S Cocoa
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 36 HERSHEY'S KISSES Brand Milk Chocolates or HERSHEY'S HUGS Brand Candies
  • 1 can (16 oz.) vanilla ready-to-spread frosting
Directions:
  •  Beat butter, sugar, egg and vanilla in large bowl until well blended. Add flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt alternately with milk, beating until well blended. Cover; refrigerate dough about 1 hour or until firm enough to handle. Shape dough into 1-inch balls; place on ungreased cookie sheet. 
  •  Heat oven to 375°F. Remove wrappers from chocolate pieces.
  • 3 Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely. Spread frosting onto cookies, leaving about 1/2 inch around outer edge unfrosted; place chocolate piece in center of each cookie. Makes about 36 cookies.
Ingredients:
  1. 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine, softened
  2. 1/4 cup REESE'S Creamy Peanut Butter
  3. 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  4. 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  5. 1 egg
  6. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  7. 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  8. 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  9. 1/8 teaspoon salt
  10. 1-3/4 cups (10-oz. pkg.) Brand Milk Chocolates
Directions:

1.Heat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease cookie sheet or line with parchment paper. 
2.Beat butter and peanut butter in large bowl on medium speed of electric mixer until creamy. Gradually add granulated sugar and brown sugar, beating until well mixed. Add egg and vanilla; beat until light and fluffy. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt; add to butter mixture, beating until well blended. Stir in chocolate pieces. Drop batter by rounded tablespoons onto prepared cookie sheet. 
3.Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely. Makes about 18 cookies.
