Easy Anzac Biscuit Recipe Biography

Ingredients:

  •  1 cup (150g) plain flour
  •  1 cup (90g) rolled oats
  •  1 cup (85g) Ward McKenzie desiccated coconut
  •  3/4 cup (155g) brown sugar
  •  125g butter
  •  2 tablespoons golden syrup
  •  1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
  •  2 tablespoons water

Method:
  • Preheat the oven to 160°C. Line two baking trays with non-stick baking paper. Sift the flour into a large bowl. Stir in the oats, coconut and brown sugar.
  • Put the butter, golden syrup and 2 tablespoons water in a small saucepan. Stir over a medium heat until melted. Stir in the bicarbonate of soda.
  • Pour the butter mixture into the flour mixture and stir until combined.
  • Roll level tablespoons of mixture into balls. Place on the trays, about 5cm apart.
  • Press with a fork to flatten slightly. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Set aside on the trays for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack so it cools completely.
Second recipe To Make Easy Anzac Biscuits:

Ingredients:
  •  1 1/4 cups plain flour, sifted
  •  1 cup rolled oats
  •  1/2 cup caster sugar
  •  3/4 cup desiccated coconut
  •  2 tablespoons golden syrup or treacle
  •  150g unsalted butter, chopped
  •  1/2 teaspoon bicarb soda
Method:
  • Preheat oven to 170°C. Place the flour, oats, sugar and coconut in a large bowl and stir to combine.
  • In a small saucepan place the golden syrup and butter and stir over low heat until the butter has fully melted. Mix the bicarb soda with 1 1/2 tablespoons water and add to the golden syrup mixture. It will bubble whilst you are stirring together so remove from the heat.
  • Pour into the dry ingredients and mix together until fully combined. Roll tablespoonfuls of mixture into balls and place on baking trays lined with non stick baking paper, pressing down on the tops to flatten slightly.
  • Bake for 12 minutes or until golden brown.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup McKenzies desiccated coconut
  • 1 cup CSR brown sugar
  • 1 cup homebrand rolled oats
  • 1 cup homebrand plain flour
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3 tbs Woolworths Select Golden Syrup
  • 1/2 tsp McKenzies bicarbonate soda
  • 2bs boiling water
